About Us

The people at TX Pile, LLC have been driving piles in the Central Texas area for over 30 years as a marine contractor and over 25 years for land-based deep foundations. We balance pile driving experience with technical knowledge that is second to none locally. All deep foundations have their challenges so it is very important to work with a team of professionals who are backed by proper equipment and man power.

Rusty Signor – President

Rusty started in Austin, Texas in 1979. Primarily working as a general contractor, he found the land, designed the buildings, and contracted many projects in the Central Texas area. With the recession in the mid 1980’s, Rusty was forced to become even more versatile and bought heavy equipment to do site work, septic systems, road construction, swimming pools, tennis courts, boat docks, and other recreational facilities. Having the only specialized marine equipment (crane, barges, and tugboats) in central Texas, he was contracted to repair major dams, construct bridges, install water intakes, install steel bulk heading, and drive piling foundations. Rusty is currently the President of the Pile Driving Contractors Association.

Clayton Signor – Vice President

Clayton started working with Rusty in 2007 as a project manager but had worked as a labor, a welder helper, and an intern off and on since 1998. He brings an educated approach to design and estimating of driven piles with a masters in construction management from Vanderbilt University and a masters in geotechnical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. At Texas, he focused his studies on driven piles and wrote his thesis entitled Driven Piles in Central Texas Expansive Soils. As a team, Rusty and Clayton have used this thesis and local case studies to educate engineers in Central Texas with Brown Bag lunches, guest lectures, and driven pile demonstrations. Clayton is currently the Deep Foundation Institute’s driven pile committee chair. Please click to see a presentation by Clayton Signor on PILE DRIVING.

Kevin Krueger – Vice President

Kevin started working with Rusty in 1997 as a welder and since has worked his way from a welder, to equipment operator, to foreman, to construction manager, to part owner and director of field operations. From over 15 years of experience with pile driving and marine construction, he has the ability to solve the most challenging problems by using TX Pile’s equipment and manpower.

City of Austin “Fast Track Pool Builder”

Our company is a certified “Fast Track Pool Builder” with the City of Austin. This benefits you in two ways:

  • Our “Fast Track” certification with the city of Austin gives us “expedited treatment” when we submit our plans for approval. (Plans that might normally take 2 months or more for approval are now typically completed in less than 2 weeks.)

This unique program is a result of a joint venture between the Austin chapter of APSP (The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals™) and the City of Austin permitting department. The program was developed in 2012, and officially implemented in January 2013.
